One to one female personal assistant required for a lady with an Acquired Head Injury, in her own home in Hamsterly Mill (near Rowlands Gill). She is 45 years old, loves watching movies, doing craft and spending time with her family and her dogs.

Brain injury experience is preferred, but not essential however experience in care is required.

Car drivers are essential.

Staff will be employed by the client. Not self-employed. Multiple staff required to cover all available hours.

Day and Night shifts available. Currently three day shifts (9.45 – 6pm) Monday to Sunday, to be filled and five night shifts. The night shifts start at 5.45pm till 10am the following morning. However, there is a period of sleep from midnight to 8am, whilst the client sleeps. Staff need to be on hand to assist the client through the night when needed.

Salary £10.50 per hour. Time and a half for bank holidays. Sleepover rate (midnight- 8am) is a set rate of £60.

The main role of the position is to provide assistance, support and encouragement to the client, with the aim of promoting as much independence as possible.

Help to care for the client’s pets (dogs)

Full job description will be given at interview. On the job training will be given specific to the client.
