HOURS: Mon 10am-2pm & Fri 10am-2pm (8 hours per week), with additional hours also available RATE OF PAY: £12.40 per hourLOCATION: My own home in the Pudsey area of Leeds and in the wider communityI am a disabled young woman, who wants to increase my independence by employing a personal assistant to accompany me to get out and about, and access leisure activities in the local area and further afield. My PA would also be required to to support my mum with helping her to put me in & out of my hoist. I would also want my personal assistant to help me with activities and hobbies at home, especially if the weather is bad. The job may involve some personal care.I use a specialist communication aid to communicate with those around me. My personal assistant would not need to have experience with this device, as my mum and I are happy to explain and demonstrate how it works, and to help the PA to get used to it.I require a personal assistant who can provide the assistance I require under my direction. My personal assistant must have a good sense of humour, as I love to have a laugh and this makes me happy. The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
