We are looking for a PA to join our existing bank of PAs to help our daughter to access activities in the community and support her independence both at home and on trips out.

This job is on an ad hoc basis and would be at the weekend or during school holidays. At the moment she does not access evening activities term time due to fatigue but this could change in the future.

Rate of pay in line with Direct Payments (currently £12.40ph). We live in East Ardsley (WF3).

Our daughter is a bright and bubbly 14 year old, who loves music and dancing. She has Cerebral Palsy and is a power wheelchair user but strives for independence. She has Epilepsy but this is well controlled with medication. She is an excellent communicator and her speech is intelligible to familiar people, she is working hard and this all the time. She does have a communication aid to support her if there is a communication break down.

Duties will include:
All aspects of personal care
Supporting independence including dressing
Preparing meals and supporting self-feeding
Participating in leisure activities such as supporting her to go out with friends, attending organized group activities, going shopping and playing at home.

Essential Criteria:
Reliability
Sense of humour (she loves to giggle)
Patience
Ability to support with transfers
Having a driving license and own car

Desirable Criteria
Previous experience of working with people with Cerebral Palsy

Full training will be provided.

Enhanced DBS will be required which will be applied for by Leeds CIL. Payroll is managed by Leeds CIL.
