Personal Care Assistant
My client R is looking for a personal care assistant to support him with his daily routine and accessing the community. R is a great lover of music and has been involved in the music industry for a long time. My client is a smoker.Main DutiesTo support with:· Support to transfer from bed to wheelchair to shower and help with personal care/hygiene routine including washing/showering and dressing. Applying creams when he is unable to do so. · Support accessing the local community and facilities including shops, assistance with shopping and carrying items.· Access transport services/public transport to attend appointments when needed.· Support with keeping his home clean and tidy, to enable him to move around his home freely and safely in his wheelchair.Desirable criteria:
· Have use of own vehicle.· Some flexibility with working hours would be advantageous.· Have experience of working as a PA and be able to support with moving and transferring (although training will be provided)
Personal Qualities & Attributes Required· Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.· Excellent timekeeping.· Some previous PA experience would be advantageous but not essential.· Good communication and social skills.· To respect confidentiality and privacy.Location: Fishponds, Bristol.Hours: Monday 10:00am - 1:00pm; Wednesday 10:00am - 12.00noon & Friday 10:00am – 1:00pm
Pay: £12.00 Per Hour.
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time).Start Date: ASAP.Additional Information· Appointment will be subject to a DBS check, funded by the employer.· Employer lives with their wife and cats.Please note that this advert has been placed on behalf of an individual employer that we are supporting.
