Job description: Listed below are details of the purpose and general tasks of the job. It is advisable to refer to this when submitting your application for the post.Job Purpose: I am looking for two personal assistants to support me to maintain independence within my home and the local community. You will help me participate in activities and to socialise with family and friends.I enjoy exploring the village in my electric wheelchair, days out and trips to Carrow Road to support Norwich City FC. I like playing on my games console and playing and listening to music.Location: NR13, AcleDetails:· Food and drink preparation.· Assisting with feeding.· Personal care.· Administering and recording medication.· Maintaining a clean and tidy home and garden.· Shopping.· Supporting with activities and trips out.Person specificationEssential:· Ability to prepare meals.· Good communication and organisational skills.· Friendly, caring, punctual, reliable and trustworthy.· Medication administration.· Full clean UK driving licence.Desirable:· Experience working in domestic care.Summary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £13.87 per hour.· Hours and times of work: Between 12 and 36 hours per week. There is the possibility of some sleep-in nights if you are interested. Days and times will be discussed at interview.· Free training can be provided to employed staff.· If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect you to complete during 5.6 consecutive weeks.· You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.The post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
