Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.

Job purpose: Facilitate within the home at the start of the job, this is to be able to build trust and manage the young boys needs, which can vary depending on circumstances that day but will include changing pads, ensuring he is fed and watered.
The long term goal, once trust has been built will be to going out and about to places of interest such as; going out on walks, visit parks, and to soft play, where he can get around safely on his own allowing him to have free roam, which he thoroughly enjoys.
The young boy has very limited communication and mobility. When out and about he uses a manual wheelchair, but is starting to take steps whilst under supervision at home. Food has to be cut down, due to a high risk of chocking due to not being able to chew, and currently has to be manually fed.
He loves Mr Tumble, flashing lights and music.
Location: Walpole St Peter PE14

Person Specification

- Full UK Driving licence
- Use of own car for work purposes. Car will need to be big enough to transport his wheelchair.

Summary Terms and Conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £11.68p/h.
Hours and times of work as follows: 4 hours per week Saturdays or Sundays. Hours and days to be discussed at interview stage.
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
