Job description: Social care opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is essential to refer to these when submitting an application and advise of the days/hours you are available.

Job purpose: Support a teenage girl who has learning disabilities and ASD, to go out and about in the local community to places such as cinemas and libraries, or complete activities at home during the school holidays. Personal care support will also be part of the role, assisting when out in public toilets as she cannot be left alone.

The ideal candidate would be a female assistant who has good communication skills, who can appropriately support/regulate when she becomes upset. Experience with adults/children with learning disabilities and ASD is essential.

Location: Norwich, NR14

- Days out to places of interest
- Days at home carrying out activities
- Personal Care - Ensure she is safe in the toilet, and dressed appropriately
- Loves swimming, bowling, theatre of shows she is familiar with, and talking about Disney Films.

Summary Terms and Conditions
The rate of pay for this position is £15 p/h.
Hours and times of work as follows: During school holidays. Hours and times to be discussed at interview.
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

You will be required undertake annual training.

The post is subject to the following:
· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
