Job descriptionListed below are details of the purpose and general tasks of the job to provide some insight of what is involved. It is advisable to refer to this when submitting your application for the post.Job PurposeTo Support a young woman with multiple healthcare needsLocation Swaffham, PE37DetailsI am a happy 26 year old wheelchair user who would like to employ a PA/Carer to give my mother some respite from her caring role. I have complex needs, including mobile peg feeding, so a PA with experience would be an advantage. While administering my peg feeding I do enjoy art and crafts and gardening so someone who shares these interests would be great. I will need personal care, transfers from wheelchair to toilet etc. and my PA needs to be able to push a manual wheelchair and support me when using stairs (at least until I move into more suitable accommodation). Because I can have some communication issues it is important that my PA speaks clearly. I can be sensitive to sudden loud noise as I have acute hearing. I enjoy getting out in the fresh air when I can, and love animals and classic cars. We have a small dog at home so a pet friendly person is required. Ideally my PA will be a driver with own car and appropriate class of insurance.Person specification
