I am a young boy living in Pontarddulais. I am bouncy, happy, fizzy and I am autistic. I love watching flags blowing in the wind and being outside. I like to go to the park to play but I prefer small, enclosed spaces. I love swimming and being in the water. I also love nothing more than relaxing at home with a snack watching a movie. I am always on the go, and I have lots and lots of energy! I love lots of cwtches.
Own car essential.

Physically fit as I enjoy lots of active play.
Experience of working with autistic children and children with additional needs.
Hours of work
5 hours a week double staffed on a Saturday morning.
Possibly more and the occasional evening, availability during school holidays.

Tasks involved
• Take me to soft play
• Take me to the park
• Take me to see animals such as a farm etc
• Sit with me in the house, do painting, crafts, play with my toys, read to me, help me with my speech and language via a communication board.
• Sensory play.
• Water play - in warmer weather I enjoy going to an outdoor splash park.
• Sit with me and watch a movie with snacks!
• Attend autism specific events, NAS Swansea etc
• I will require assistance with personal care.
• I use a disability buggy when outside and transitioning to another activity or when I am anxious in a new environment

Concerning the position
You will be formally employed by the Direct Payment Client which requires a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly with appropriate holiday pay calculated. A DBS will need to be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs are met by Swansea council.
