Senior Night Care Practitioner.

44 hours per week - 4 nights on a rota basis
£13.68 per hour PLUS £3 enhancement* for overtime
20:00 - 08:00 shifts

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Night Care Practitioner to join our team at Oak Springs, a luxury, purpose-built care home in the heart of Wavertree. At Oak Springs, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care services, including residential, respite, and specialist dementia care, in a warm and supportive environment that promotes dignity and independence for our residents.

Our modern 74-bed home spans three floors, offering an array of facilities including music rooms, a beauty salon, peaceful lounges, and landscaped courtyards. We take pride in promoting sensory engagement, individuality, and a holistic approach to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

As a Senior Care Practitioner at our home, your role may involve:

Completing mandatory training to continuously improve knowledge and skills
Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, nutrition, and daily activities
Providing emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships with residents
Supporting residents in pursuing fulfilling lives, tailored to their unique preferences, hobbies, and abilities
Upholding and maintaining high standards of care within the home
Performing senior-level duties, such as staff supervision, conducting appraisals, record-keeping, medication administration, care planning, audits, liaising with healthcare professionals, and participating in recruitment

What are we looking for?

Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a residential or nursing home setting
A compassionate and professional demeanour with a positive attitude
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or a commitment to achieve it
Proficiency in record-keeping and the use of technology for care management
The ability to remain composed and guide team members in high-pressure situations
Flexibility to work night shifts in alignment with the needs of our residents
