To work flexibly as part of the Occupational Therapy Team and to provide a high standard of neurological rehabilitation.

To provide Occupational Therapy interventions as part of the neurological rehabilitation service, working as a key member of a wider multidisciplinary team to meet both Trust and national targets and standards.
• To perform Occupational Therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical, cognitive, psychological and social needs.
• To develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes for patients.
• To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type.
• To liaise with other Occupational Therapy colleagues to provide a flexible service during pressured times, due to workload or staffing difficulties.
• To participate in the training and supervision of assistants, OT students and work experience students when appropriate.
• To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide advice and deliver a holistic patient-centred approach to rehabilitation.
• To work and liaise with external agencies across health, social care and the third sector to promote partnership working.
• To undertake routine administrative tasks as agreed with senior staff.
• To work 5 days per week within Neuro Outpatients Therapy Service, with the potential to join the UHDB band 5 rotation in the future. This may require flexible working and some weekend work.
