Role Purpose
To assist the Responsible Senior Officer (RSO) for TEC in the Council and Digital Lead in
Health as part of the DISC programme in Year 3, plus commissioning appropriate
services, develop policy and continuous service development within the Care Market. To
create effective frameworks, strategies, and policies for jointly commissioned services
with partner and commercial agencies. To ensure robust commissioning outcomes
and/or delivery of service to achieve agreed outcomes. To continue to the development
of commissioned services within the Care Market (Residential and Domiciliary Care) as
required
We are looking for a skilled advocate for digital transformation and practice whose focus
is on making things better and easier for people with digital enablement. They will support
the development of the developing a community provider TEC offer, Optimal Handed
Care (OHC) and aligned to the Somerset Independent Living Centres (SILCs) ensuring
that we do the right thing for individuals and carers, people and communities as well as
delivering a working environment for Care staff, which better enables staff to deliver the
best care, they can every day.
Qualification/ Knowledge / skills / experience
A registered HCPC professional with a degree qualification and/or demonstrable
equivalent experience including working on community and organisational transformation.
An interest in developing skills and practice within the care market, either within
Digital/TEC and Moving & Handling. (E)
Prince 2 Practitioner, Agile, Change Management or equivalent qualification or
demonstrable equivalent experience. (E)
Evidence of continuing professional development. (E)
Experience of leadership within Socail Care and/or Healthcare, including expertise and
understanding of performance and change management, business planning, budget
setting and management processes. (E)
Role Description
Demonstrable Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to
digital/TEC, data and Moving and Handling Practice (E).
Experience and application of planning, project and programme management
methodologies and practices within community settings (D).
Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation, working
to tight and often changing timescales (E).
Ability to work collaboratively with team members to co-ordinate a highly effective project
management and ensure key dates and deadlines are disseminated in a clear, effective
and supportive way (E).
Ability to interpret national and local policy for implementation (E).
Effective Leadership skills (E/D)
Experience and application of planning, project and programme management
methodologies and practices within community settings (D).
Experience of working within a complex and challenging environment, managing
