This is a clinical post focused in the Rheumatology outpatients setting with a potential for education, research, and quality improvement to be included.

Clinical commitments will be up to 7 outpatient clinics per week. There will be a requirement to assess and manage Rheumatology in-patients. Additionally, one clinical session per week will cover the rheumatology helpline to answer clinical queries from patients and one clinical session to write prescriptions for biologics for both inpatients and outpatients.

Attendance at a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting regarding the use of biologics and treatments for ANCA associated vasculitis and complex connective diseases.

The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust is actively involved in the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Education (CESR) and this post is designed to encourage participation with the CESR process. Individuals will join the Trusts CESR School and will be assigned a clinical supervisor and mentor to support them through to completion.

There may be opportunities for the post-holder to get experience in a variety of specialist clinics including Early Inflammatory Arthritis, GCA, Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease with access to MSK and Vascular Ultrasound. There are also opportunities for involvement in education and clinical trials with provision of appropriate training.

• To actively participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
• To fulfill the duties of the weekly timetable
