Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides health and social care services in acute and primary care settings, community hospitals, and care centres, through the 11,000 employed staff. The Trust spans over two counties of North Tyneside and Northumberland, and has a main WAN MPLS between the main hospitals in those regions.

Northumbria Digital Services team provide, IT services to all of the Trusts directorates, departments and subsidiaries and this role is to support the team to ensure the campus LAN, WAN and Wifi services are correctly designed, implemented, secured and supported to match the digital delivery needs and ambitions of the Trusts digital strategy.

Responsible for the management and performance of client network infrastructure LAN/WAN, WLAN and DC, providing pro-active support to ensure maximum availability of service in line with Trust service level agreements.

To be a point of escalation through the network operational team, from the digital services department and the Network technician, engineer and associate roles.

To plan and organise a range of complex activities related to implementation of new systems including liaison with suppliers and end users, production of work plans and monitoring these to ensure completion on time and within assigned costs.

To develop and maintain efficient management of all networked systems under the control of Service.
