Your new role:


As a Leaving Care Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people aged 16+ as they transition from care to independent living. This role involves travel around South Wales to meet different services, providing practical and emotional support, and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed. You will work closely with social workers, educators, and other professionals to create and implement personalised support plans.



What you will need to succeed:



  • Experience or qualifications within social care or education are highly beneficial.

  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel across South Wales (mileage is paid).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.

  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by care leavers and strategies to support them.

  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude.
