B1 is a general surgery ward and is situated on the 2nd floor of the
Irving building (blue area) at Salford Care Organisation, part of the
Northern Care Alliance.
The ward has 18 beds, two seven-bedded bays and four single
rooms. Our dedicated, professional ward staff provide 24-hour
nursing care.
We are committed to offering our patients quality care and excellent
customer service, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
on our surgical ward.

The services we offer include inpatient care for both emergency
and elective surgical procedures for a range of specialities, working
closely with specialist nursing teams to ensure the highest
standards of care.

You will be a Qualified Nurse with substantial experience in a relevant area, You will be registered with the NMC and have ideally have experience of working in a high care environment.

You will be able to demonstrate high standards of care which is achieved through evidence based practice, evidence of continuing personal development and also have experience of managing teams and are willing to further develop your management skills.

Taking on the role of co-ordinator, you will support your Ward Manager, junior staff, manage patient flow and be responsible for patient care.

You must be able to work as a team member and an independent practitioner, adhering to the NMC code of conduct. Demonstrate self-motivation and leadership skills, together with the ability to communicate effectively.

Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
