We are looking for Residential Childrens Support Workers / Therapeutic Childcare Workers (with Education experience ideally!) for several residential services throughout the local area. There are a number of homes including those specialising in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties, and also therapeutic services for children with emotional and behavioural needs.

There are also opportunities for Seniors in Burton on Trent, Mickleover and Derby and applicants will ideally have NVQ lvl 3 or 4 in either Children's Residential, Children & Young Peoples Workforce or Young People & ~Family Practitioner.

Hours and shifts vary from fixed patterns to rotas arranged 4+ weeks in advance.

This is a Childrens Residential Support Worker positon and as such you will need experience of supporting children - either those with learning disabilities or in a therapeutic environment; building self-esteem, becoming an active part of the community, and achieving best outcomes.

This can mean, teaching life skills, organising and attending day trips and health care appointments, delivering personal care and administering medication.

The role will include, undertaking regular checks throughout the night and completing paperwork to a high standard as well as delivering personal care.

*some roles are temp to perm working for 12 weeks through agency before going onto a permanent contract.
