Job title: Personal assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Fife KY15

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests. Client requires 10 hours per week to support with personal care, social and domestic needs.

About the employer:
The client is a lady in a wheelchair who uses a hoist. She lives with her son who has down syndrome and 2 dogs. The lady has her own vehicle for carers to drive so a driving licence is essential.

Main duties:
Social duties
 Transport client and support client to medical appointments
 Transport client and support client with shopping

Personal care
 Client requires all aspects of personal care.
 Applicant must have experience operating a hoist. Moving and handling training necessary, however, this training will be provided.

Domestic duties,
 Transport and support with grocery shopping.
 Preparation and cooking meals.
 laundry, ironing, and general domestic duties.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that they are looking for:
 Someone who is honest, reliable, positive, flexible and can build good relationships.
 Specific requirements, Applicant to hold full driving licence, be willing to complete training and to cover holiday/sickness when other carers are unable to work.

Hours of work: 20 hours per fortnight

Rate of pay: £12.00

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 Driving licence
 Previous experience in care role.
 Aware of confidentiality
Preferred:
 Good communicator
 Likes dogs or other pets
 A good listener
