Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
A female in her 50’s with various physical needs living in the Redditch area of Worcestershire is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide help and support with daily tasks, accessing the local community and attending any GP or Hospital appointments when required. Our client works part-time and enjoys shopping, meeting friends for lunch or a coffee & chat and enjoys crafting.

Main duties:
Domestic Duties:
 Support with Grocery shopping
 Assisting preparing and cooking food
 General cleaning
 Changing bed linen and doing laundry

Social duties:
 keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
 attend medical appointments when required
 do hobbies such as dog walking, yoga, crafting
 attend social events

Personal care: provide occasional support with personal care
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:
 Values, someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity or has a good sense of humour.

Specific requirements: someone with a valid driver’s licence and someone who is willing to drive the client’s vehicle.
 Other: due to the nature of this role including medical care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 25 hours per week

Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 driving licence
 car and appropriate insurance
 non-smoker
 good time keeping
 confidentiality
 good at building relationships
 willing to work weekends if required by the Employer

Preferred:
 computer literate
 good communicator
 a good listener

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
