SO3 (£37,336 - £42,403) *Pay Award Pending
37 hours, Full-Time
Permanent and Temporary positions available (6 months)
Hybrid: Stopford House and homeworking (2 days a week in office and additional times for meetings if required). Visits to hospital and care homes within Greater Manchester

Your Role

The key responsibilities of the post holder will be to support and develop the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) service within Stockport, and to support the learning and development of Best Interest Assessors within the service and across Adult Social Care. The role also requires the post holder to work in coproduction with our quality team and Stockport Providers to ensure Managing Authorities understand their responsibilities regarding DOLS and DOLS conditions. Also to work with the locality teams and Learning Disability Service to ensure they understand and Comply with the wider statutory duties regarding compliance with the MCA and community DOLS.

About You

You will need to be passionate about Human Rights and be a qualified BIA. You must have extensive experience in the relevant legislation and experience of completing assessments under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) You will need to have experience of supporting less experienced staff in the workplace and demonstrate mentoring skills and presentation skills
