AsaProgrammeManagerthepostholderwillworkaspartofadynamicAHP clinicalteamindeliveringaneffectiveservicesupportingmanagersandstaff.


The postholder willsupport theRegional Head ofAHP’sand their team,toensure successfulimplementation of theAHPportfolio’sof work at regional and sub-regional level and have specific responsibility for:


Providing comprehensive project management duties overseeingthe delivery of the work streams identifiedasRegionalprioritiesfor the AHP workforce.


Working with key partners internal and external toNHS Englandto ensure the successful implementation of the teamsdelivery planofWorkforce, Training and Education.


Liaising closely with theNationalAHPProgramme

Ensuring attention to detail in all aspects of their work.

The post holder will have experience of working at senior manager level and with Directors.

They will have strong personal credibility, excellent leadership, communication, andprogrammemanagementskills.

Theywill be able to evidence sound project management experience and high-quality skills and be confident with reporting software and processes.

TheProgrammeManager must demonstrate the ability to function competently both as a leader and member of theAHPteam and must understand and enable the role and contribution of other team members.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

ProjectManagement


Lead the teamin the delivery of project plans,allocatingtasks asappropriate,identifyingrisks,issuesand dependencies, considering best practice and currentoptionsandultimately makingdecisionsin the best interest of the project.


Pro-actively manage stakeholders, respondtoand resolve conflict when thisarisesthroughfacilitationor otherappropriatemechanisms.


Be responsible fora high standardof worksupporting the deliveryof projectson time, to qualitystandardsand in a cost-effective manner.


Maintain the project initiation documentand associated planswith regular team meetings tomonitorprogress and resources.


Demonstrateeffectivestakeholdermanagement.


Support otherprojectmanagersasandwhenrequired.


Takeintoaccountthe impactofanychangetheprojectswillhaveon the business and oversee handover of any products to ensure full ownership and buy-in within the business Advocate the projects at senior and executive levels and ensure activeengagement andsponsorshipwithinNHSasawhole.
