We are pleased to offer the opportunity to join our dynamic, motivated and cohesive team at Salford Royal Hospital, Pre-operative assessment Department.
Working as a competent registered nurse you will provide full, accurate and comprehensive anaesthetic assessments of patients' suitability for surgery, (predominantly orthopaedic, ENT, gynaecology, neurology and general surgery) in accordance with Trust standards and protocols.
As an autonomous practitioner you will be expected to manage your patient workload each day, referring patients for ongoing investigations, back to General Practitioner for further Consultant Anaesthetic review, or pass fit to proceed to surgery.
Whilst previous experience is an advantage it is not essential as supportive colleagues will provide training and guidance for you to develop the important assessment skills in order for you to meet the requirements of this demanding but rewarding role.
This is a face-to-face role.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
