At Dimensions, we are recruiting Specialist Support Workers to work across multiple locations in Dorchester and Weymouth.

Providing high levels of care for adults with complex support needs, Specialist Support Workers are strong team players with experience in positive practice leadership, supporting adults who experience behaviours of distress, and assisting with service development.

Contributing towards assessments of needs and gathering behavioural data, the role of Specialist Support Worker involves working in conjunction with the Locality Development Manager, relevant professionals, and family members, to help develop personalised support plans and skilled support teams.

Due to the nature of the role and the areas we cover, a driver's license and access to a vehicle are. essential.

Specialist Support Worker skills and qualities:

- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

- Experience in supporting individuals who experience behaviours of distress is essential for this role.

- Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards it.

- Experience in positive practice leadership.

- Good working knowledge of active support.

- Experience in supporting complex behavioural needs.

- IT literate.

Specialist Support Worker duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting people to learn and develop skills.

- Assisting the people we support with many different aspects of their lives.

- Contribute towards the development of support plans care packages.

- Demonstrate positive practice leadership and support colleague development.

- Work flexibly with multiple location to support growth and continuity.
