Age Group: Secondary-Aged Pupils
About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Dawlish. Our school provides specialized education for secondary-aged students with a range of special educational needs, including:


• Autism
• Asperger's Syndrome
• ADHD
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)


As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in offering personalized support to our students, helping them to reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:


• Providing individualized support to students and small groups
• Assisting with classroom activities and preparing learning materials
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tracking progress
• Encouraging positive behavior and social interaction
• Offering personal care and assistance as required

Requirements:


• Experience working with children or young people with special needs is highly desirable
