Care First - Signal House are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team where you can truly make a difference.
Up to £21,000 per annum
Up to 37.5 hours per week - flexible hours TBD
Permanent, full time position
Paid Lunch, Additional Escorting Hours as and when required outside of contractual hours on a rota
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting adults with behaviour support needs, autism, learning difficulties and complex needs to access day opportunities and education along with encouraging independent living.
Everything that we do is based on thoroughly understanding the needs of the adults in our services and how we can best support them in achieving positive outcomes.
Our approach is caring, positive and adaptable, and is underpinned by a thorough theoretical knowledge. Our staff come from relevant educational and therapeutic backgrounds and have extensive experience of supporting adults with complex needs.

Who we are looking for
Experience working with complex needs is preferable, but if you are eager to help vulnerable young adults and adults to live happy, fulfilling lives, this is the role for you. We will provide you with full training and development to succeed within your role.
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising children as they explore further afield.

Knowledge & Experience
Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or within a similar role
Experience of working with adults with learning difficulties/disabilities, autism and Mental Health
Experience of behaviour that can challenge
Desirable – knowledge and experience of autism and Mental Health
Desirable - NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care - Adults
Prepared to undertake on-going training and day to day learning throughout employment
