A little about myself:
I am a beautiful, happy, and loving young boy who has been
diagnosed with autism and global developmental delay. I am nonverbal although I am trying very hard to communicate. I love swings, spinning, water play, bouncing and music. I have 3 brothers, so it is hard to have “me time”. I would like to have my own regular extra-curricular activities that will make me smile and laugh. Those could vary from park time/trampoline park, or something organised such as pony rides. Warning: I give the best bear hugs when happy. I attend a specialist school and have a therapist at home during school holidays. I am trying really hard to make progress. They have developed strategies to help me when I am frustrated because I cannot communicate. The school is happy to show my PA those strategies and how best to understand and help me. I have no sense of danger and have limited social skills so will need constant supervision. Please be aware that I can, at times, have challenging behaviours. I am trying very hard to learn how to use the
toilet, but I am still in pull ups and may need changing.
