We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Manager at Priority House, Maidstone, Kent.
Chartwell Ward is a 18 bed , working age, adult ward.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, patient and staff centred qualified nurse to maintain the high quality care delivery. Chartwell Ward already provides and supports innovation and development. It is essential that you have leadership experience.
• To provide accurate, timely reports and discharge
• To deal with e-mail correspondence in a timely
• To monitor the record keeping of junior / non-qualified staff and students where appropriate
• To link with special interest groups both internal and external to the Trust to share good practice
• To act as a representative of the service

• Understand what translation and advocacy services are available and follow correct
• Ensures that the electronic Health and Social Care Records of self, of Deputy Ward Manager, and of junior colleagues are up to date, accurate and consistent with Trust
• Establish and maintain accurate, complete and up to date care plans in Line with Trust policies and
• Effectively use Trust electronic tools and IT
• Implement strategies which facilitate adherence to treatment including negotiation skills, early warning signs monitoring and psycho-education, and motivational interviewing skills

• Actively participate in own PDR/Supervision/Mentorship and act as a provider of this to the Deputy Ward Manager and to all junior staff, delegating as appropriate

• Develop a Supervision and Appraisal Tree for the Ward indicating individual responsibility for training

• Identify a Student Link Nurse for the Ward and contribute to the review of students and their placements from the local University in partnership with the Practice Placement Facilitators.
