Female Support Worker

£12 per hour (£60 per Sleep-in Shift)

Part Time (16 hours per week) - Sundays only

Lemington NE15 (9 min Drive from Blaydon Train Station)

Full UK driving licence (Manual)

About Person We Support:

We have a social lady in her 60's who loves drives out in her own vehicle, meals out, seeing friends and family and visiting new placed such as museums or coastal areas.

She has a learning disability, a physical disability and need our help to support them in a supported living home.
You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress - full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.
A chatty, outgoing support worker with a good sense of humour would be a wonderful match.

What will I be doing?

You will be supporting them to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves, and to achieve their goals
You will be supporting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning and laundry.

Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

Shift Pattern:

THIS ROLE IS TO WORK SUNDAYS ONLY - this could change in the future
Long Day Sleep ins: 9am-9am the following day (£60 sleep-in shift included)
Sleep in shifts cover hours between: 10pm -8am
Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance.
