An opportunity has arisen for a Activity Scheduler to join our team within the Inpatient Medical Service Unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

As an Activity Scheduler you will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Service Unit in the management of a range of patient waiting lists for a range of specialties to ensure a high quality service is provided at all times. You will be an integral member of the Clinical Service Unit and will liaise with staff at all levels. In return we will provide you with excellent training and opportunities to develop your skills.

Essential Criteria for Role

Qualifications

Good level of general education, GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 in customer service or relevant experience.

Experience

Previous experience of working in a customer service environment as part of a team as well as in isolation. Evidence of handling difficult circumstances. Experience of dealing with a range of information and accurate data entry. Ability to deal effectively with a range of ‘customers’ including patients, clinical and managerial staff.

Skills

Good oral and written communication skills. Good speed/accuracy level of keyboard skills. IT Skills in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively .

Knowledge

Knowledge of Information Governance and data protection with regard to respect for confidential information.
