Your new company

Your new school are looking for a SENCO that can also take up the role of designated safeguarding lead. it is a mainstream school in which there are children with additional needs. The school children between the ages of 4 - 11 years. This school is looking for a SENCO that would joy the challenge of helping make improvements.

Your new role

This SENCO job will see you providing support to the full Cohort of pupils, having involvement in referrals, assessments, and liaising with outside agencies and Parents / carers as well as other activities. You will be outcomes focused and be able to demonstrate approach and successes. As such you will have experience in working with healthcare and social care and 3rd party organisations. Experience of working as a "designated teacher" or SENCO is preferred. Candidates with the SENCO qualification is essential.

What you'll need to succeed

To be suitable for this role you should be an experienced Teacher with QTS have a minimum of 6 months experience of supporting children or young people with SEND in a SENCO capacity. You must have a minimum of 40 days experience of working in schools, centres or provisions that support EBSD/ BESD/ EBD which can be referenced. Applicants with QTS or SENCO qualification will have a significant advantage. You will be passionate about helping young people achieve the best of their potential, be thick skinned and have a good sense of humour. A team teach qualification or training in crisis prevention (PROACT SKIP/ MAPA/ TEACHH) is advantageous but not essential.
