As a member of our Agile development team, you will collaborate with fellow developers on our Web Application framework and the applications built upon it. Your role will encompass the full stack, from the Vuetify/Vue front end to the NodeJS/C# back end.

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
- Engage in regular Agile meetings to discuss and clarify project requirements.
- Design, develop, and unit test new software features, while also addressing bugs and making enhancements to existing modules.
- Support team members in learning and troubleshooting as they develop applications using the framework.
- Explore new technologies to enhance our products and improve functionality.
- Plan upcoming work, manage release schedules, and assist with build pipeline automation.
- Contribute to the maintenance of live systems by investigating and resolving issues.
- Triage assigned software defects. Ensure that work on defect resolution does not impact on agreed product deliverables, reporting to Product Owner/Scrum Master where resolution will require renegotiation of deliverable dates for other tasks.
- Pro-actively seek guidance from colleagues as required to ensure first time correct delivery and continual development of technical skills.
- Ensure code reviews and unit testing are completed, and that these are consistently following departmental guidelines. Where no formal guidelines exist, work with peers to formulate and enforce such guidelines.
- Timely and accurate reporting of assigned work status as required, reporting risks and issues as they arise.
- Keep abreast of technology trends and how they apply to your area. Put forward suggestions for improvement to development processes or tools where applicable.
- Achieve agreed productivity targets to ensure tasks are delivered to schedule, reporting as early as possible to Product Owner/Scrum Master where deliverables cannot be met.
- Any other activities in support of the business which can reasonably be expected to fall within the capabilities of the employee.
Skills required: Qualifications & Work Experience
- BSC or equivalent working experience in a software engineering discipline.
- Good communication skills enabling positive collaboration with functions outside development.
- 2+ year's experience with JavaScript (ES6, ES5, CommonJS, NodeJS).
- 1+ year's experience building front-ends using frameworks such as Vue/React/Angular.
- Excellent coding skills in a variety of modern software languages.
- Understanding of formal software development methodologies.
- Good understanding of principles, theories, practices and techniques for delivering software development projects.
- Good understanding of creating and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of C#
In addition; familiarity with any of the following would be favourable:
- Knowledge and experience of Azure/AWS/Google cloud technologies and services, such as App Services/EC3, Blob Storage/S3, KeyVault, Event platforms.
- Previously developed enterprise scale, multi-user, systems.
- Unit testing skills using tools and techniques such as TDD.
- Working with UI/UX teams.
- Healthcare and clinical systems.
- Practical experience of working in an agile development environment.
- Use of Jira to manage backlogs.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, tools and technologies.
