I am a friendy, bright engaging person with a nice home and a cat. I am a 52 year old lady. I am a caring and thoughtful person who likes to see the positive although I occasionally have bad days.
I am Autistic with mental and physical disabilities. I am agoraphobic but I do work on this. I may find things stressful that others do not and sometimes need help to speak up but not always.
You will need to be reliable, understanding, caring, empathetic, pro active, patient and with a calm personality. You will need to be flexible with a sence of humour (I like to have a laugh ).
You will need to be a driver with a car, the correct insurance and with room for my wheelchair that I use when I am out. I am a nervous passenger so patience is needed when I am in a car.
You must like cats
If you are right for the role you need to be observant, trustworthy and able to respect confidentiality for me and my family. As well as the above the role will entail,
Gentle encouragement and support whilst also respecting my decisions
Taking to and providing support at medical appointments and occasionally visiting friends and family. Some light housework (keeping a habitol environment) and light personal care. Taking part in crafts and interests. Companionship is a big part of the role. I require some help to dress and there will be making drinks and meals during your hours. I need reminders and a board updated. The role may mean some shopping and other outdoor tasks. There is no handling of medication expect picking it up from the pharmacy every four weeks. You will need to make phonecalls on my behalf. I also require timely reassurance.
Lastly you will need a dbt check and relevant insurance.
Would hopefully be flexible to cover my other PA for sickness and holidays to a maximum of 23 hours.
Would be able to take me to see my children when neccasary in Morcambe and Chorly. This would be extra on top of your hours.
Thankyou for reading this (phew you've got to the end haha), if you are interested please get in touch, it would be a pleasure to hear from you and if you are perfect for the role we can get together for a chat.
Keep smiling,
Amber Ruby Phoenix.
