About the Employer
The Employer is a 65 year-old lovely outgoing lady who requires 24/7care. She loves to shop and enjoys watching tv. A Female carer is required to undertake all aspects of personal care and assisting with meals plus companionship. There is a team of four carers and a cleaner who work so many days each that they are looking to recruit someone to join their team as a bank carer with a possibility of the role being made permanent. You will be required to work 3 days in 28 this would be a Friday, Sat and Sun, every month. You will also be required to cover for sickness and holidays when required. Rate of pay is £228.04 per day (this works out at £11.44 for 16hrs and then £45 sleep rate). Holiday entitlement will be confirmed at interview once moved to a permanent position but whilst employed as Bank carer holiday will not be accrued. Bank holidays will be paid at time & half excluding Christmas, Day Boxing Day & New Year’s Day which will be paid at double time. You will need to be a non-smoker and car owner and driver. Experience in care is not essential but preferable as you will shadow for a few days. References will be required. You need to be kind, caring, trustworthy, friendly and compassionate. About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
• Support with food shopping.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.

Due to the following requirements of the role, only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position:

• You will be required to administer medication.
• Shifts may start before and or after 10pm

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Lateral Flow Test Requirement

Due to the nature of the work you’re applying for, you may be required to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) and upload the results online every day before you start work.

Transport Requirement

Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.

When you are Required

Specific days/times required:

• Monday, finish at 1030am
• Friday, 1030am to 1030 pm plus night shift
• Saturday, 1030am to 1015pm plus night shift
• Sunday, 1030 am to 1015 pm plus one night shift

This position will require:
• Sleep-ins

Hours per week: average 18 hours per week and .75 sleep Fri/Sat/Sun finish Mon morning once every 4 weeks
