The post holder will be based within the inpatient and outpatient
pelvic health service at Wythenshawe hospital but will also include
flexible cross site working between both Wythenshawe and Trafford
services. We are looking to provide a single hospital service and on
occasion you may be required to cover other sites including Saint
Mary's and North Manchester hospitals. Applicants are required to
have previous pelvic health experience and aim to advance these skills
with support. This post offers excellent facilities and support for
continued professional development. The successful applicant can be
assured of supervision, training and development within a supportive
team, as well as opportunities to develop research ideas and attend
academic and clinical meetings. It is an ideal opportunity for anyone
wishing to develop their pelvic health clinical skills whilst being able
to contribute to clinical effectiveness within the Trust. A flexible
attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential.
The service accepts referrals from acute, primary and secondary care
providers.
The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of both
Urogynaecology and Obstetric Patients. They will deliver a high
standard of evidence-based physiotherapy. The post holder also will
be expected to run a pelvic girdle pain group alongside your other
clinical duties.
• Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management of
patients with pelvic health presentations
• Supervision of less experienced staff, example B5's
• Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists
• Service development projects, such as audit and quality
improvement programmes
• Participate in weekend Saturday rota
