We ask that candidates MUST hold a relevant certificate Level 3 or above in Childcare studies or Early Years Educator. (Unfortunately, we will not accept Health and Social care unless you have a specific childcare qualification alongside).
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all children are provided with a safe and stimulating environment with in an outstanding setting, to learn and develop in their early years. Through the effective completion of key responsibilities and tasks in this role, you will ensure that all children have the opportunity to grow and develop through the EYFS framework.
The success of the nursery depends primarily upon the capability and effective performance of all those responsible for the completion of these key responsibilities and roles, some of which are below:
Ensuring compliance with the statuary requirements, the policies and procedures of the nursery and the curriculum
Ensuring the daily care is maintained and to a high standard
Being able to be a Gruffalo one day and a dog the next!
Supervising arrivals and departures of children and working with families
Speaking dinosaur language!
Maintaining children's development records and completing assessments
Involvement in educational planning and meeting individual needs, including those with additional needs
Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
Read a story upside down!
To be able to communicate effectively with children, peers and parents
To be fun, caring, imaginative and think on the spot!
The position is for full days, 7.30 am start until 5.30 pm
