Department: Adult Social Care and Public Health
Client: Nottinghamshire County Council
Salary: £16.11 per hour
Contract Type: 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri 9-5

About the Role:

Are you a compassionate, organised individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service? Nottinghamshire County Council are looking for a Service Advisor to join their Adult Social Care and Public Health team.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking advice and assistance related to social care and public health services. You will provide information, signpost to relevant services, and manage referrals, ensuring that all enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, courteous advice and referrals to the public, service users, and other agencies.

  • Offer information on services available from the local authority and external agencies, including advice for self-funders and benefits.

  • Triage incoming referrals and decide on appropriate actions, including signposting or referring for further assessment.

  • Support front-line workers by offering specialist social care advice and guidance.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure excellent data quality.

  • Handle complaints and liaise with local agencies to foster strong working relationships.

  • Attend relevant team meetings and assist in maintaining up-to-date service information.

Requirements:

You will have excellent IT skills, knowledge of community care services and relevant legislation, including the Care Act (2014), the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Ideally you will have at least two years' experience of care work, though this is not essential. You will have experience of working with the public, keeping records and constructing reports.

The role will enable you to work flexibly through the hybrid working model, with the working week split between home and the office. NCC staff enjoy access to the latest mobile working technology, support and supervision. An induction and relevant training will also be provided.

Working with Service Care Solutions comes with many benefits, including:

  • A specialist consultant within an experience and dedicated recruitment team

  • Excellent rates of pay

  • Payroll service twice a week

Service Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus! So if you know of anyone who would be perfect for this position and they are placed into work, you will receive £250 for the referral once their probationary period has been completed.
