Teaching Assistants (1:1 SEN support/small group support)
Full time - Fixed term contract to start asap - ends 31/8/2025
35 hours 8.15 – 3.45 (half hour unpaid lunch break) Grade C from £21,913 Actual per annumEllingham Primary School is a warm and friendly school serving a welcoming and supportive community. It is a good school, ambitious to provide the best possible learning experiences and secure good progress for all our learners.
You will be working under the guidance of the class teacher & Senior Leaders to primarily support children with SEN on a one to one basis. In addition, you may work with small groups or within a classroom, supporting the class teacher and running personalised programmes and interventions.
You will support children in all areas of their learning, personal care and their social, emotional and mental health and include cover at lunchtime.
We are looking for someone who:
Is able to build positive relationships with young people of all abilities
Is patient, resilient and kind
Is enthusiastic about learning
Is organised and a team player but also able to use their own initiative
Has a strong “can do” attitude
Has good written and verbal communication skills
Good skills in English and Maths (Minimum GCSE A-C in English or Mathematics or equivalent)
Experience of working with children is essential and a commitment to professional development and learning opportunities.
