Care Assistant F/T@ £11.88/hr in S. Glos. Cromhall

Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: 3c77e879

Hello, my name is Stef and I’m looking forward to working with you. I am a disabled artist who needs assistance with basic day-to-day living tasks. I live with a partner who helps in the mornings, evenings and weekends but need a permanent P.A for a lunchtime visit Monday – Friday and once monthly outings. I will ask that any P.A. who enters my home has a completed DBS check, this will be checked upon offer of the role, thank you.

The rate of pay for this role is £11.88

The start date for this role is flexible as long as there is communication and flexibility between both parties.

I am not allergic to anything in particular so perfumes etc are fine to wear. To further that point, I do own a dog so if you are allergic, this role isn’t a good match. I am up to date on my vaccines and expect my P.A. to be as well unless they have a medical exemption or financial hardship preventing them.

The job role will consist of:

· meal prep and cooking· filling pillboxes and a supplement box· cleaning· connecting with the community, shopping from time to time· running and lifting Epsom salt foot soak baths· washing my hair over the bath when I am experiencing a flare.· Lifting electric wheelchair into car· There will be a day once a month where we will go out to galleries, libraries and museums as well, so similar interest is ideal. Because of this it is a must that the P.A drives.

I enjoy art, activism, disability justice, nature, spirituality, textiles, reading and creativity in general. It is important that these hobbies and lifestyles are respected and will similarly do the same.

Lastly, I have low tolerance to many viruses, so it is imperative that the P.A. be aware of their own social tendencies and be aware that COVID tests and face masks will be required if the P.A. is feeling unwell, these will be provided.

The hours for this role are: Monday - Friday, 7 hours 30m a week, but the week including the outing will total 13hrs 30m.

Start time for the shift is flexible, anywhere between 11am – 2pm. The shift is 1hr 30m.

The once monthly outing day will be a longer day, which will be 6hrs.

The role is very flexible so these can change but will always average 9hrs a week over the course of a 4-week period.

Thank you so much and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
