An opportunity has arisen to join the Booking & Scheduling Team at Brook house in Middleton.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the Radiology Booking & Scheduling team, facilitating bookings for all patients who require a radiology appointment or procedure. This exciting role will also include dealing with inbound and outbound calls to agreed professional standards.
You should have PC skills, be an excellent communicator and be able to prioritise your own workload. You should also enjoy working with people to provide a first class service.
The hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 08:00-18.00pm and include one Saturday every 4-6 weeks Morning 09.00-13.00pm.
Additional enhancements for unsocial hours/weekend/Bank Holidays are payable
To use the Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS) and PAS daily as required to retrieve/update patient information and demographics.
To use the agreed telephone scripts and agreed protocols relating to calling patients at all times.
To escalate any capacity issues or breaches of waiting times to the Booking centre Manager or Booking Centre Supervisor at the earliest opportunity.
To ensure all patients are booked for appointments via telephone where possible, and to be responsible for booking appointments via letter of invitation for patients that cannot be reached by telephone after two attempts.
To be responsible for booking radiology outpatient appointments in line with local and national waiting time targets via the CRIS system, using the Trust’s Radiology PTL to monitor waiting times.
To ensure that appropriate confirmation letters are sent to patients, with information of their appointment time, date and location, and include any relevant preparation and instructions that are required.
