Hours: 2 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata

Area: Ashington, Northumberland




To support access to community activities and occasional health appointments.

We are looking to recruit a support worker/enabler to assist a young adult to access the community with various activities.




Support Hours

2hrs per week – this can be negotiated at various times. This person enjoys walks in the countryside or somewhere not too busy but also likes things like escape rooms etc.

Main Duties

Support to access the community, out and about.
Support to become more active.
Support to occasional healthcare appointments to support to understand these discussion and outcomes.

Person Specification

 Successful applicant must:

Have some understanding of how health can impact on mental health and well-being.
An understanding of anxiety and the impact this can have.
The need to take small steps to develop a relationship.
Must hold a full UK driving licence.
Female applicants only.

An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this post, cost will be met by Northumberland County Council.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
