An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Staff Nurse with excellent communication skills to work as part of the nursing team within ENT/OMF outpatients. The successful candidate will be primarily based within ENT/OMF Outpatients, but maybe required to support clinics taking place across Outpatients.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high quality safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience and evidence based best practice.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic trained nurse into a Band 5 Staff Nurse post to assist with in the delivery of high standards of care. ENT/ OMF Outpatients provide a variety of clinics including Fast Track neck lump, wound, and nasendoscope clinics and OMF surgical procedures.

The successful candidate will be dealing with both staff and patient issues, therefore will be one who demonstrates enthusiasm and motivation, excellent team working skills and forward thinking.

You will be supporting patients through their outpatient journey, as well as assisting with examinations and offering emotional support.

There maybe a requirement for the post holder to support clinics that take place at community sites to provide sickness and annual leave cover.

• Work autonomously undertaking holistic assessment examination in order to implement management plans for patients.
• Use specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare to patients attending the outpatient department.
• Participate in the delivery of formal and informal teaching for the nursing staff and act as a resource for education and development within the service
• To work as part of the Nursing team in ensuring the delivery and maintenance of a high standard of care that is patient centred and evidence based.
• To contribute towards the smooth running and development of the department through effective teamwork.
• To contribute to the cleanliness and tidiness of the department’s environment.
• Work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
• To participate in and deliver as required, clinical supervision and reflective learning in accordance with Trust Policy
