This exciting role will be a pivotal in developing and leading the delivery of the Trust’s Occupational Health and Wellbeing provision.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Occupational Health and Staff Wellbeing Services in supporting the health and wellbeing of staff. The successful candidate will work alongside internal and external stakeholders including, Staff Physiotherapy, Infection Prevention and Control, Human Resource, Staff Side Representatives, Commercial customers, and System Partners to lead, develop, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive programme of support for our diverse workforce and the customers we serve.
The Trust has an ambition to deliver exemplar occupational health and wellbeing services that supports staff from across the Trust. In doing so this role would lead a team of well trained, skilled and motivated practitioners that care for staff, provides professional advice to managers and assurance and oversight of the service to the Trust.
The role will provide senior leadership and support to the department providing stability to the teams with good governance and leadership before exploring the opportunity to expand and grow new commercial income. You will be a key member of the People Services Senior Leadership Team and will be given the right autonomy and support to transform these services.
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced and credible senior manager, whose values align with our trusts. Experience in Occupational Health, Mental Health and the wellbeing sector is essential for this role. You will also be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of NHS People Plan priorities and a commitment to improving health equality.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering the transformation of Occupational Health and Wellbeing service provision, with NUH as the primary internal client, whist recognising ICS partners as prospective clients and co-design partners.
You will also ensure the programme is aligned to the key actions within the NHS People Plan, Growing OH & WB strategy, Enhanced HWB strategy and any relevant national and international guidance from the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Society of Occupational Medicine, Health and Safety Executive, British Psychological Society, NICE, etc., that are key to the transformation of the trusts occupational health and wellbeing services.
You will be expected to demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of current and future Occupational Health, Mental Health and Well Being opportunities in the health and social care sector, and be able to maximise the commercial opportunities with existing and prospective clients across other industries, with a focus and understanding on the needs of the trusts workforce.
