Fantastic opportunity for a fun, energetic and optimistic SUPPORT WORKER to join our friendly team!

Competitive pay rate - £13.20 per hour.

Based in the village of Rufforth - easily commutable from York, Harrogate and Leeds

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, but we'll pay your mileage to and from work!

Who will I be supporting?

- You will be supporting a young man with complex needs to live his life how he chooses

- He lives in his own home in the village of Rufforth where he enjoys keeping active by walking, cycling and swimming.

- He has a support dog who he loves a cuddle from, and enjoys listening to music, going to the cinema, and and spending time with his family.

- This young man has complex needs and can experience behaviours of distress so you will need to have some previous experience supporting someone with complex behavioural needs to be a good match for his team

The role will involve:

- Helping him learn the skills he needs to live the life he chooses

- Support with shopping, housework including cleaning and laundry

- Supporting with medication

- Supporting and encouraging him to find opportunities in education, employment and leisure, and enable him to take part in these opportunities.

What are the shifts?

- We are recruiting for both Day shifts, 7:30am - 7pm and Night Shifts 7pm - 7:30am

- We're looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of these shifts across weekdays and weekends

- Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
