Job Overview:
Aquila Supported Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to elderly clients in the Liverpool area. The ideal candidate will help our elderly clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life in their own homes or in a residential care setting. You will offer physical, emotional, and practical support, assisting with daily tasks and activities while promoting dignity and respect.

A valid driver’s license is desirable, as the role may require traveling between clients' homes to provide care.

Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Mobility Assistance: Help clients with movement, whether it's using mobility aids, assisting with transfers, or ensuring safety during walks.
Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary, while considering dietary needs and preferences.
Medication Support: Remind and/or assist clients with taking prescribed medication, following care plans accurately.
Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
Health Monitoring: Observe changes in health, behaviour, or needs and report these to family members or healthcare professionals as required.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and medication schedules.
Social Engagement: Encourage participation in recreational and social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Travel: Travel between clients' homes to provide care (a driver’s license is desirable).
Key Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience working with the elderly or in a care/support role is preferred.
Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Manual Handling, or a qualification in health and social care are an advantage.

Physical Ability: Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, or supporting clients with mobility issues.
Driver’s License (Desirable): A valid driver’s license is preferred to travel between clients' homes.
Flexibility: Willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
