We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, confident and committed full time, Band 2 Receptionist to join our busy Radiology Departments at the Northern Care Alliance. The post will be based at The Royal Oldham Hospital but we will require occasional cover working at Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
The position is permanent and is to work 37.5 hours a week.
The hours will vary between 08:00-20:00, Monday - Friday and will include some weekend work with notice given.
There could also be a requirement on occasion to work at other sites with very short notice.
Additional enhancements for unsocial hours/weekend/Bank Holidays are payable
You will be required to provide reception/clerical support within a very busy department, you must be hard working and flexible. As the first point of contact for patients visiting the department, you will be friendly and approachable, ensuring that a positive patient experience is provided from arrival.
You will assist in providing an efficient, high quality receptionist/clerical support service to the Radiology Department, consisting of attending patients, dealing with referrals on the Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS), and from GP's, and Out-Patient requesting various scans, dealing with telephone enquiries, scanning, filing, emailing and photocopying. Excellent communication, computer skills and a confident, pleasant approach when dealing with patients and the general public is essential. You must be able to work on your own and to tight deadlines.
A working knowledge of Radiology and of the CRIS computer systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
Good keyboard skills are essential.
