Required Qualifications

We are happy to look at transferable skills as there will be training offered. This role is best suited for an enthusiastic team player who would like to show their creative side whilst working in a care setting.

About the role

The aim is to promote wellbeing through developing personalised life stories and participate in the implementation of this in the lifestyle section of personal care plans for each resident. You will plan and provide an ongoing and rewarding calendar incorporating regular group and 1-1 activities, as well as events which recognise significant dates such as Easter, Burns Night, Diwali, Pride, Halloween etc.

You will also ensure the tools needed for delivery will be made available so you can work with colleagues to motivate and encourage service users to participate in activities that will enhance their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. You will do this while ensuring our residents maintain dignity and quality of life, supporting them to stay connected with family, friends, and the local community.

Fundraising is also an important part of the role as is arranging photographs of events that take place to create articles for our newsletter and social media.

Job titles can vary – this role is also known as activities co-ordinator, lifestyle support worker, support assistant, support worker, personal support worker, leisure and lifestyle assistant, social care.
