The Nursing Associate role bridges the gap between a Healthcare Support Worker and a Registered Nurse, providing a workforce for future healthcare and ensuring high quality care for patients and families.
The Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) apprenticeship programme is a minimum of 2 year and 3 months in duration, leading to a Foundation Degree as a Nursing Associate and Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This is a generic qualification covering all fields of Nursing Practice including Adult, Learning Disability, Children and Young People and Mental Health. The University costs for the programme are fully funded. It is a training programme that combines both academic and work-based learning in the physical, psychological and public health aspects of care from pre-conception to end of life.
The programme will begin in March 2025. The TNA will rotate into placements within MFT. This will include Community Placements. The academic aspect of the programme will be delivered by either University of Salford or University of Bolton.
TNAs will work 80% of their time on placement and 20% of their time at university.
The minimum entry requirements are:-
-GCSE grade C or 4, or above, in English Language and Mathematics or equivalent (ENIC/NARIC)
-Functional Skills level 2 in Mathematics and English Language/Key Skills level 2 Numeracy and Literacy
Please note, in addition to the above, you will not be eligible to apply for funding if:
-You are currently on an Apprenticeshipthat will not be fullycompleted by February 2025
-You have undertaken a nursing degree programme and studied for more than 10 months/ you have a previous degree in a healthcare related subject
-You have undertaken part of the TNA apprenticeship
-You have previously been/currently are a Registered Nurse/Midwife (including overseas)
-You MUST have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years and be able to provide proof (e.g. bill/bank statement) of a UK address from 3 years before the start date of the apprenticeship
-This programme is not eligible for new visa sponsorship
