I am looking to employ a Specialist Support Worker/Personal Assistant for 23 hours per week.

Specialist support worker/PA is required to work 3 days a week, Monday, Friday, Saturday shift hours to be agreed.

Shift pattern:
Monday - 8.30am-3.30pm
Friday - 9am-6pm
Saturday - 12 noon-7.00 pm

I am a hard working, person with a young child. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Complex trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety, Developmental trauma and Agoraphobia. The preferred candidate would have some experience in dealing with or working towards qualifications trauma training. They will be working on a one-on-one basis with me. In very rare instances my child may be around as I only have him on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I have an interest in arts and crafts and enjoy taking part in creative and play activities. I wish to learn and expand my knowledge through online learning programs.

To be fit for this role, you would need to be understanding and patient. A person who is outgoing and willing to try different methods to help support me through my experiences. Someone who is willing to persevere and be resilient. A person who is kind and gentle would be preferred, as well as someone who is perceptive and empathetic towards my thoughts and feelings.

The successful candidates main tasks will be to:
Support me with my emotional and mental wellbeing.
You will also support me with therapeutic interventions and tasks, with particular focus around dissociation and developmental trauma.
You will be required to provide prompts for daily tasks such as personal care, calendar management and support me to access the community and take part in activities.

I am a smoker, therefore I am happy for my PA to smoke.

I am fairly flexible about the times that you will work, this will be discussed further upon interview. Experience and Trauma training is desirable.

Rate of Pay
The position will be paid at £12.00 per hour and will be paid through the PAYE scheme.
Position not open to foreign students.
