Job Description
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you, including our Nurse Apprenticeship programme and Diplomas in Heath & Social Care.

Responsibilities
Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
Weir End House & Woodpecker Lodge are located close to the market town of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire. Weir End House offers residential support for 11 people, Woodpecker Lodge offers residential support for 6 people, both services support people who are on the autism spectrum, and have a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis. We want the people we support to live a healthy, happy and enjoyable life. Our team support them to be independent, both in the home and when they are out in the community. The homes are within the same grounds and are located just off a dual carriageway, approximately four miles from the town centre.

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
