16 hours per week across 3 days a week including Saturday which is required once a month. 9.30am -3.00/6.00pm on occasions.

Full time available IF you are able to travel West Sussex and Surrounding!
(Mileage will be paid - 45p per mile, All working miles will be paid)

The Role:
At Aspens we work across Crawley and surrounding areas ; supporting individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

We are looking for Support workers to join our team to cover Outreach Support to Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

We are looking to build their team of Support Workers who also support other Service Users in the area.

Driving license essential, all work related mileage paid at 45p

About You:

As a support worker at Aspens you will have enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards supporting people with Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health conditions to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

You do not need to have had previous experience in these areas, but we do ask that you are a compassionate, caring and friendly person who is willing to learn and take advantage of the full training, support and career opportunities we offer.

You will have good communication skills, including listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the people we support using a variety of different methods as required.

You will be willing to support individuals in whatever activities they choose to do, be it within the community or within the home, making it an enriching and fun activity, supporting individuals to make their own choices, learn new skills to be as independent as possible and to achieve their ambitions as set out in their care and Support plan.

You will be willing to perform domestic duties and support individuals to be independent in tasks such as preparing ingredients and cooking healthy meals.
If personal care is required it will be in a sensitive manner, and provide emotional and behavioural support when needed.
